Construction begins on the Tien Duong 1 Social Housing Project.
On December 19th, the Tien Duong 1 Social Housing Project in Phuc Thinh commune, Hanoi, will officially commence construction. This is one of the most important projects of the capital city, celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The project is being implemented by a consortium of investors including Viglacera Corporation - JSC, Hoang Thanh Infrastructure Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, and Central Construction Joint Stock Company.
The total land area is approximately 445,886 m2 (excluding 1,359 m2 of existing residential land identified within the planning area), of which the investor will invest in, operate, and exploit residential buildings constructed on approximately 165,255 m2 of land, including: approximately 131,975 m2 of land for social housing construction (high-rise apartment buildings); and approximately 33,280 m2 of land for commercial housing construction (low-rise and high-rise buildings) with a total of approximately 3,530 apartment units and 99 low-rise townhouses, accommodating a population of approximately 12,465 people. The project involves the development and construction of commercial and service facilities on approximately 34,276 m2 of land, including:
+ Social housing apartments (approximately 3,103 units); commercial apartments (approximately 427 units); and low-rise commercial townhouses (approximately 99 units).
+ Service and commercial facilities (on land plots CC1, CC2, CC3), with approximately 72,876 m2 of usable floor space...
The project will be implemented in Phuc Thinh commune with an estimated total investment of approximately VND 9,307 billion. The implementation schedule is from 2024 to 2030.
Once operational, the project will help synchronize social and technical infrastructure in the area and provide the city with a modern urban area, in line with the planning, offering an optimal living space for residents both within and outside the city.
The project aims to concretize the "Investment in the construction of at least 1 million social housing units for low-income earners and industrial zone workers in the period 2021-2030" plan approved by the Prime Minister. Simultaneously, the project is consistent with Hanoi's housing development program and plan, and the detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 for concentrated social housing areas approved by the Hanoi People's Committee.
Specific objectives:
To build a concentrated social housing area with synchronized technical and social infrastructure, supplementing the city's housing stock, creating urban landscapes, and promoting socio-economic development in the area.
To be consistent with the revised Hanoi urban planning project to 2030, with a vision to 2050.
To concretize the orientation of the approved N7 urban sub-area planning, at a scale of 1/5000.
The project aims to create a self-contained urban area with full residential, service, and urban utility functions according to the detailed plan.
It will meet the housing needs of people eligible for social housing under the Housing Law.
It will develop social and technical infrastructure to serve the housing area and the local community.
It will create a civilized landscape environment and promote urbanization in Phuc Thinh commune, Hanoi.
In short, the formation and development of the Tien Duong 1 Social Housing Project in Phuc Thinh commune, Hanoi, will significantly contribute to the socio-economic development of Hanoi.
