Tran Hung Dao Bridge is an essential component of Hanoi’s Master Plan for Construction up to 2030, with a vision toward 2050. Estimated Total Investment: More than VND 16,000 billion, of which the investment for Tran Hung Dao Bridge construction is approximately VND 8,190 billion.

Investment Objective:
To construct Tran Hung Dao Bridge connecting Hanoi’s central area with the eastern region, completing the East–West connectivity of the city. The project lays the foundation for the development of urban, industrial, commercial, and service sectors, boosting socioeconomic growth, and creating an architectural landmark for the capital. It aims to reduce traffic pressure on existing Red River bridges such as Long Bien, Chuong Duong, Vinh Tuy, and Thanh Tri, facilitating smoother travel between the central and eastern parts of the city. Additionally, it contributes to the completion of Hanoi’s planned transport infrastructure, improving traffic quality and safety.

Planning Compliance: In line with the Transport Development Plan of Hanoi Capital, approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 519/QĐ-TTg dated March 31, 2016, and other related planning documents.
Investment Form: Implemented under component projects:
- Land Clearance Projects (Components 1 and 2): Public Investment
- Construction Project (Component 3): Public–Private Partnership (PPP) under a Build–Transfer (BT) contract, with land fund payment mechanism.
Investor: Joint venture of Cong Thanh Transportation Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company and Cat Ba Sun Company Limited.
Once completed, Tran Hung Dao Bridge will connect Hai Ba Trung and Cua Nam wards with Long Bien, Bo De, and neighboring areas, helping to reduce traffic congestion and enhance the city’s transport infrastructure.
The bridge features a modern and pedestrian-friendly design, consisting of six lanes for motor vehicles, two lanes for bicycles, and sidewalks for pedestrians. This design not only serves transportation needs but also provides public spaces for walking, sightseeing, and relaxation
